Mission Activities and Regional Impact
In Q1, 13 mission properties across 10 countries remained vital spaces for spiritual growth and community service. From national conferences to local services, these mission properties continued to host events that brought together people from diverse regions, fostering both fellowship and spiritual enrichment. A highlight of the quarter was the “Letter to the Romans” project, uniting local church members in reflection and discussion through themed events and activities at their local mission property.
Mission properties in countries like India, Argentina, and New Zealand saw increased activity, with events ranging from Sunday school to volunteer maintenance efforts. Additionally, BCC’s ‘Sisters’ and ‘Easter’ conferences were broadcasted to mission properties globally, further connecting the international BCC community.
Basfour Group: Empowering Through Christian Social Entrepreneurship
The Basfour Group in South Africa continued to make strides in improving operational efficiency and profitability, allowing for sustained support of mission work. Notably, strategic improvements were made within the hospitality sector, including enhancing services and optimizing costs. This quarter, Basfour launched a partnership with a local university, offering formal training programs to Christian Youth Development Program (CYDP) participants. These programs provide young adults with practical skills equipping them for future employment and community service.
Supporting African Communities
In furtherance of engagement in Christian social entrepreneurship, efforts extended to the ‘CPC Africa Support Program,’ where members of Basfour Group’s board and management contributed over 200 volunteer hours. These efforts focused on providing essential training in financial management, property upkeep, and leadership development, ensuring that local mission properties are well-prepared for long-term sustainability.
