Q3 2024 Quarterly Update

As BMS International looks back on the third quarter of 2024, the organization continued its work to promote the Christian faith and empower communities worldwide. The period was marked by regional Christian conferences, strategic business developments, and ongoing commitment to youth development through various programs.

Mission Activities and Regional Impact

This third quarter of the year saw mission properties worldwide continuing their role as essential hubs for spiritual growth and community activities, marked by a variety of gatherings from regular weekly services to large international Christian conferences. A highlight was the first conference held in several years at the mission property in Ternopil, Ukraine, drawing approximately 100 attendees from various regions. Additionally, notable gatherings included a youth and children’s conference in Yaoundé, Cameroon, hosting around 450 participants, the annual conference in Mulanje, Malawi, and the Annual Asian Youth Conference in India, which welcomed approximately 130 participants from both India and abroad. Throughout the quarter, these properties were sustained by dedicated volunteer work from local church members, and were spaces that encouraged both spiritual growth and meaningful fellowship.

Mission properties were also a hub for digital broadcasts of the BCC Summer Conference from Norway and BUK Summer Camp activities, creating engaging environments where digital connection integrated well with local traditions and activities.

Basfour Group: Empowering Through Christian Social Entrepreneurship

The Basfour Group achieved notable milestones in strengthening its business profile during Q3, including joining the Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce. Pont de Val made substantial strides in strengthening its brand and operational strategies, expanding accommodation capacity through new rental agreements and implementing innovative cross-skills training programs. These initiatives resulted in hosting the group’s largest corporate event to date.

The quarter saw positive operational developments across Basfour Group companies, with improvements in sustainable infrastructure solutions and business services. Throughout various Basfour Group companies, CYDEP participants continued to gain valuable practical skills in areas such as electrical installations, hospitality services, and maintenance, while also developing essential soft skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. The quarter saw 19 CYDEP participants from different countries within Africa completing the Small Business Management and Community Development course in partnership with a local university, further strengthening their ability to contribute positively to their communities and achieve self-sufficiency.

While travel was limited in Q3, the CPC Africa Support Program continued remotely, with 112 hours dedicated to supporting mission properties through virtual training sessions. The focus was on venue standards reporting and 2025 budget preparation, ensuring continued support and development of local capabilities across African communities.

BMS looks forward to further advancing its objectives in promoting the Christian faith and empowering communities through its mission activities, mission properties, and engagement in Christian social entrepreneurship.
