The third quarter of 2025 was marked by vibrant community gatherings and strategic transformation for BMS International. Mission properties worldwide served as vital spaces for spiritual growth through summer conferences and camps, while the Basfour Group undertook significant organizational changes designed to optimize efficiency and position the organization for sustainable long-term growth.
Mission Activities and Regional Impact
Mission properties across multiple countries remained active centers of spiritual fellowship and community engagement throughout the third quarter. A defining feature of the quarter was the widespread participation in summer activities, with BCC Summer Conference broadcasts from Norway bringing local church communities together at their respective centers to follow services while arranging local activities and meals.
BUK Summer Camp events created memorable experiences for youth across multiple regions. Yaoundé hosted approximately 145 young participants from across Cameroon for five days of fellowship and activities, while mission centers in Bafoussam, Lubumbashi, Kerala, Kisii, and Mulanje each welcomed youth groups for services and programs. Notable international conferences included the Annual Children and Youth Conference in Yaoundé, Cameroon, which welcomed approximately 450 attendees from Cameroon along with international guests from Nigeria, DR Congo, and France, and the Malawi National Conference at Mulanje, bringing together 95 participants, including members from Kenya, Cameroon, and South Africa.
Throughout the quarter, mission properties were sustained by dedicated volunteer work from local church members, with nearly 5,000 volunteer hours contributed across properties for maintenance, landscaping, and facility improvements. International collaboration was particularly evident in Mexico, where visiting members from the United States joined local volunteers for construction projects, and in Ternopil, Ukraine, where church members from Poland participated in a three-day volunteer event.
“During the month of August, we had a few big voluntary workdays at the mission property. I think it is important to keep it in a good state and keep it up to a good standard. I love to be at the mission property,” shares Oscar (18), a member of the local church in Tauranga.

Basfour Group: Empowering Through Christian Social Entrepreneurship
The Basfour Group achieved milestones during Q3 through strategic initiatives designed to optimize efficiency and position the organization for sustainable growth. Pont de Val undertook a comprehensive restructuring of operations by establishing strategic partnerships across multiple operational areas, including restaurant operations, spa services, winery, adventure activities, and a newly opened local coffee shop with improved meeting and working spaces.
Significant progress was made on the Pont de Val property development initiative, with key approvals advancing and rezoning applications underway for multiple portions. These developments pave the way for a potential Lifestyle Estate development from early 2026. To rebuild positive relationships with the local community, Pont de Val introduced a range of lifestyle and outdoor activities, including weekly hosting of Park Run events, development of running and walking trails, and plans for dedicated mountain biking trails.
Throughout various Basfour Group companies, CYDEP participants continued gaining valuable practical experience, with an average of 13 participants receiving over 3,800 hours of hands-on training during Q3. Trainees completed two university modules—People Management and Project Management—and applied these concepts in their daily assignments. The participants received training in hospitality operations, IT networking, property management, and maintenance, developing their technical and workplace skills alongside vital soft skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
“I am progressing well with my training in Pont de Val Accounting, gaining valuable experience in invoicing, and other accounting tasks. My training has continued smoothly, and I look forward to gaining further experience in technical skills and soft skills. My experience with the university courses has also been positive, as I have learned useful knowledge and skills on how to start and manage a business,” shares Kevin, 28, from Kenya.
Beyond workplace training, participants engaged in meaningful cultural and entrepreneurial activities. Basfour Group management was involved in coordinating a market day in collaboration with the local community, where trainees operated their own stalls and sold goods, gaining practical experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and financial management. Management was also involved in the production of a cultural music video celebrating unity and diversity across African nations, which will be featured at the university’s Certificate Award Ceremony in November 2025.

Supporting African Communities
The Basfour Group’s commitment to Christian social entrepreneurship extends beyond its business operations through the dedicated Board and Management Support Program. Through this initiative, board members and management volunteer their expertise to help develop mission properties across various African nations, equipping local teams with skills needed for independent operation while encouraging active church community involvement and transferring valuable knowledge in organizational leadership, property management, and financial systems.
During the third quarter, the program totaled 246 hours of support. Members of the Basfour board and other management traveled to Kenya, Tanzania, and Malawi, where they provided direct support to local church leadership and mission property management teams. They facilitated comprehensive workshops and training covering property maintenance, financial reporting, board governance, and leadership and business development. Additional support included follow-up on revenue-generating projects, participation in local board meetings to strengthen governance structures, and ongoing mentorship for CYDEP participants’ spiritual and emotional welfare.
The post-CYDEP employment initiative continued with ongoing collaboration between Basfour management and the team in Nigeria, supporting former participants as they establish themselves professionally in their home countries. Additionally, discussions were initiated in collaboration with a local university to develop an advanced community development course for returning CYDEP participants.
